Universal Studios Hollywood: Night Tours

Planet C Studios helped develop, produce, and create new original content that is featured on Universal Studios’ Night Tours. In addition to producing and filming media for the Jurassic Park projection attraction, Planet C produced and edited twelve new onboard Tram chapters that present tram guests with some of the most iconic night scenes from their favorite films and illustrate the technical challenges and unique aspects of filming at night.

In-depth animatics were produced and developed by Planet C during pre-production of Night Tours to show how mapped projections could bring different sections of the Backlot to life in a variety of exciting and stimulating ways. The Jurassic Park, Psycho House, and Six Points – Texas animatics were approved and are currently featured on Night Tours.

All seven animatics utilize on-site photography and approximate tram guest perspective to make them as true to final technical installation delivery as possible.
